Surat City has a very Enthusiastic Clientele for Architecture but there was a Simultaneous Intensity among them about the Qualitative Aspects of Built Environment. This led a group of Concerned professionals to form a trust- Art & Architecture Education & Research Trust with an aim of Creating Awareness among the People about Profession. A Simultaneous Attempt was also made to Start an Educational Institute for future Architects. AAERT and Sarvodaya Sahakari Bank got Attached to Sarvajanik College & the AAERT and Sarvodaya Sahakari Bank Ltd. Faculty of Architecture become one more Addition to the Institute.
The Mission of the School is to Create Architectural Professionals Who are Sensitive to Today's Demands of ever Increasing Complexity of Society, Changing Technology, Environmental Pressures Including the Physical & their Cultural Connotations.
The Curriculum Intends to train the Students to Observe & Learn from their Surroundings, Interpret their Acquired Kowledge through Various Skills & Express it in their Physical Solutions for a Qualitative Living Environment.
