UKIERI-AICTE Technical Leadership Program
UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) started in April 2006 with the aim of enhancing educational linkages between India and the UK. Since then UKIERI has been recognized as a key multi stakeholder programme that has strengthened the research, leadership, education and now skill sector relations between the two countries.
Aims at :
- Providing an overview of the key leadership and management challenges faced by educational practitioners today, with a focus on the application of effective leadership and management techniques and their beneficial impact on departmental and Institutional performance.
- Making leaders of Institution work on a change project within their own organization, allowing them to put into practice the leadership and management skills they will develop throughout the training.
- To train staff in middle management positions with more advanced leadership skills and laying foundation for long-term sustainability within the participating institutions.
Dr. Vaishali B. Mungurwadi – Principal, Dr. Keyur Rana, HOD- Computer Engineering Department and Dr. Jigar Sevalia, HOD- Civil Engineering Department had applied for the program as a team and were selected for the program. Out of 1600 application, only 200 applications were selected.
Program will be conducted in 3 phases (4 days each phase). First phase was conducted in November, 2018. Second phase was conducted in Feb, 2019. The third phase will be conducted in June, 2019.
The team defined a change project and submitted to the program organizers. The same has to be implemented within June, 2019 and to be presented in June, 2019 program. Change Project title is “Use of Pedagogical Techniques to improve teaching – learning process”.
