 Vision

To establish a strong framework for cultivating and enhancing a transformative research ecosystem within the institute, aimed at building a sustainable and progressive society.

 Mission:

  • To establish a supportive environment that increases research productivity.
  • To promote partnerships with industries, governments and agencies across local, national, and international levels.
  • To improve access to research opportunities by efficiently mobilizing resources and securing funding.

 Objectives:

  • To serve as a bridge between researchers and relevant funding agencies, providing guidance for the preparation and submission of project proposals, and ensuring compliance with timelines after grant approval.
  • To establish improved coordination with other cells focused on Institute-Industry linkages, incubation, innovation, entrepreneurship development, and intellectual property rights (IPR).
  • To serve as the center for ideation of research topics/themes by organizing workshops, encouraging open ended problems, expert talks, and events like TechMIc and ensuring the ethical practices in research activities.

Tenure of a member

As per the guidelines under AICTE/UGC, individual membership for this cell shall be for a period of two years.

General Guidelines

1.


To support the planning, execution, and monitoring of research activities within the Institute, and developing rules snd policies for the effective utilization of resources.

 
2.


The R&D Cell acts as a facilitator for networking and collaborative research with national and international institutions engaged in interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary research fields.

3. 

The R&D Cell will undertake research promotion and guidance by encouraging research activities, undertaking initiatives for expert talks, workshops, technical forums for students.

4.

The R&D Cell will encourage research activities among students by asking them to explore and solve Open ended problems.

5.

The R&D Cell will hold meetings twice in a semester.
