Sarvajanik College of Engg. & Tech. (SCET)
Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology (SCET), being a constituent of one of the largest philanthropic societies in the country, has a strong foundation of values and a deep commitment to building a progressive civilization. Located in the heart of the city, SCET currently enrolls more than 2,800 students across various disciplines of Engineering and MCA. The institute offers 9 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programs, all of which are governed by Sarvajanik University (earlier, until 2021, SCET was affiliated with GTU).
At SCET, every department remains vigilant in upgrading and strengthening its infrastructure as well as human resources. The campus fosters a continuous process of learning, where students are exposed to the latest trends in design and technology. Faculty members, through their constant pursuit of knowledge, actively engage in consultancy projects with government, semi-government, and corporate organizations. This not only enhances their expertise but also provides students with unique opportunities to experience the practical application of engineering concepts through training programs, industrial visits, study tours, and hands-on exposure to real-world projects.
Since its inception in 1995, SCET has consistently upgraded both its human and infrastructural resources. The institute continues to nurture innovative minds who have created a distinct identity in the competitive world of technical education. With its unwavering commitment, SCET is steadily progressing towards becoming one of the premier academic institutions in the country.
SCET has also taken a pioneering role in Training & Placement (T&P) activities across South Gujarat. During its affiliation with GTU, it collaborated with the GTU-ITAP Cell and acted as a single-point contact for industries seeking to recruit professionals, including engineers, pharmacists, MBAs, MScs, BScs, and diploma holders. The institute has been instrumental in providing infrastructure and resources to host large-scale pool campus drives, benefiting students from nearly 40 colleges across the Baroda–Vapi region.
With its strong focus on industry–institute interaction and innovative placement initiatives, SCET has consistently achieved excellent placement records for its students.

The college administration functions in a decentralized manner, following the administrative structure outlined earlier. This framework is designed to ensure efficiency in day-to-day operations and to maintain smooth coordination across all departments. To facilitate this, the Principal’s office appoints Deans, Coordinators, and Conveners, each entrusted with specific portfolios. Details of these roles and responsibilities are made accessible through the college intranet.
Financial powers are delegated to the Principal as well as to the Heads of Departments, in accordance with clearly defined rules and procedures. For grievance redressal, the college has established a Grievance Cell with a senior faculty member serving as the Convener. This cell addresses concerns raised by both staff and students in a systematic, fair, and transparent manner, thereby fostering a supportive academic and work environment.
