SCET is a part of the century old umbrella organization, SES, which was established in 1912. SES is one of the pioneers in the field of Education in the Asian Subcontinent & is one of the largest philanthropic society in India. With a campus measuring 1,13,000 sq. mts. in the heart of city, SES offers an ideal educational environment. It is purely a philanthropic, democratic organization with elections held every two years and is sustained only through public donations.
SES imparts high quality education in multiple disciplines to 34,000 students in 33 institutions from Pre Primary to Post Graduation. SES operates some of the oldest educational schools and colleges of India. T&TV High school managed by SES was started in 1888. Single-minded devotion of the pioneers of SES, inspired a series of selfless workers, public and spirited men throughout last century to volunteer to themselves to the service & growth of SES.
- SCET is situated in the southern part of Gujarat in the historical, Textile, Diamond and port city of Surat. We are proud to state that we are the oldest Self-Financed Engineering College under the State Technical University – Gujarat Technological University (GTU). Current Academic Year 2020-21 is our 25th year of establishment….

Our BE Courses of Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Control & Textile Technology are NBA Re-Accredited for a further period of three years up to 2022. Hereby, we join an elite club of colleges at the national level and very few in Gujarat. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is established by AICTE for periodic evaluations of technical institutions according to specified norms and standards. Criteria for accreditation are in line with the best international practices.

Our Chemical & TIFAC CORE Laboratory, has been accredited by prestigious National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), with effect to April, 2019. NABL is a Constituent Board of Quality Council of India, The laboratory accreditation services to testing and calibration laboratories are provided in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17025: 2005. TIFAC Centre in Environment Research is the Jewel in our Crown. Our peer engineering colleges under this scheme of Govt. of India are some of the oldest and best in India

- The Laboratories of All the departments are very well equipped with the required equipments to give hands on experience to all our students. Even, students are made familiar with the latest state-of-the art of equipments available at the industries through frequent visits to industries.
- About our Sports / Recreational facilities
For the all-round development of our students we have best in class sports facilities including a full-fledged Gymkhana, Athletics facilities, Tennis/Basketball/Volley ball Courts with a separate Ladies Pavilion. In the past our ground used to host Ranji Trophy Cricket Matches where players of the likes of Tendulkar have played. We also have an open air amphi-theater with a sitting capacity of 300+. Technical / Cultural fests, Symposiums, Seminars are held round the year in the campus.

We have the best in class infrastructural facilities and capability to arrange big ‘Pooled Campus Drives’ to provide single point of contact for industries looking for recruitment from pan Gujarat.
Our students have repeatedly achieved highest positions in the Examinations held by GTU. Our Alumni have secured challenging and highly paid positions in top ranking companies/organizations in India and abroad.
