Activities
- Concept of “Share What I Gain” was put forward. It basically builds the concrete bondage of the Alumni with the Institution by contributing their skills for the betterment of the students/Institution. Every semester at least 2 sessions/talks/interactions of alumni could be held per department. With this same motive every department started organizing a talk/session for the current students. The list of such activities has been compiled department wise.
- Rs 10,000/- has been provided to various departments for Industrial visits from SCETAA fund every year with prior permission. SCETAA also provides Rs 10,000/- to the PG holding Department for Technical Paper presentation and Rs 5,000/- for UG level Paper Presentation. Main goal is to encourage the students for their better prospectus.
- Rs 25,000/- is provided to the national level techfest (Kshitij) for the purchase of equipment as per the requirement every year.
- Invitation to the Alumni members for the various Techfests, sport activities, Cultural Activities, expert talks etc. has been provided by SCETAA.
- A meeting was held in to plan the grand Alumni meet and the arrangements. Many alumni from each department along with the Departmental Representatives were present to provide their views. It was also decided that from the Alumni data collected, Indian Chapter and Foreign Chapter could be created. This will bridge the gap of the current SCETians by shaking hands with the Alumni Abroad. Students will get the idea about the abroad studies, training, job requirements etc.
- A memorable day in the history of SCET, 8th April 2016 when we had the grand Alumni meet. A huge response of around 350 Alumni of SCET was It was a remarkable event (as in a very short span of around two weeks) with the personal contacts of the Alumni; the arrangements started to gain momentum and finally yielded a productive cluster of the Alumni of SCET.
- Provisional list of top was obtained from each Department. They were felicitated during our Independence Day, 15th August 2016.
SCET Viraasat Club (Heritage Foundation)
Heritage is the framework for the development of an institution. Our Viraasat Club will help for the development of the Hostel, industrial interactions, and Project Development. The better the heritage, better the possession, greater will be our dimension.
Any special Alumni interested in conducting any session (Technical/non-technical) for the development of the students is requested to fill the form appended herewith. This will act as a beacon beam for the budding technocrats of our institution and will stimulate the academics and the overall excellence of the technocrat as well as the institute.
The Club also promises to hand out the Scholarships for the excellence in the academics and for the development of the Training and Placement Cell.
Alumni Chapters
It includes Regional and International Chapters that will act as a ray for guiding the current students and the Alumni for further studies, Training and Placement.
Share what I gain (Symbiosis)
It’s truly said that the relationship in which both the creatures are benefited is called Symbiosis. We hereby have the same motto for strengthening the relationships with the prestigious alumni and dynamic technocrats. The students can come in contact with the companies where the Alumni works and thereby can extend any help based on training and placement. Any guest lectures could be arranged whereby the technocrats would be realised with the requirements of the industry.
